Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three of the four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in the last two tournaments this season due to a health issue that has affected her for the last week and a half.

The 22-year-old was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate ahead of launching next year's training.

Her upcoming training are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together for the upcoming season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and retired when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.

Raducanu was also moving far from freely in the final set against Zhu because of back discomfort that has affected her during parts of the season.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 after a long gap in more than three years, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in round three in last month's Beijing event.

The player achieved 28 matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her most impressive week was at the Miami Open in March.

The British number one made the last eight of a premier WTA event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

Her coach was Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in in time for the US Open.

The initial agreement with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.

Roig joined her in New York, where she reached the third round before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
