Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
- Kattigan knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Questers and Planners groups.
Audiences can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
