Emails Uncover the late financier and former Trump strategist Connection

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down my talk don't think I can catch the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by matching the timeline, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he said: "We're going to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the day of his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he added: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the people here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in prison in that year.
