Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
